Joyce W Sharp Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce W Sharp of Kingsport, Tennessee, who passed away on December 1, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bufford Emmett Woodard and Johnnie Elizabeth Miner; her son Nicholas Sharp; and her brother Bill Escue. She is survived by: her husband Nelson Sharp; her daughter Jessica Fox (Sean Fox); her grandchildren, Carter, Claire and Charli; her pets, Thumper and Dudley; and her siblings, Sam (Sara Escue), Bob (Rosemary Escue), Gracie Strawn and Emmett (Darlene Woodard). She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Young Funeral Home Chapel (25 Buffalo River Heights Rd, Linden, TN 37096). A burial was held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at the Kirk Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Joyce requested that donations be made to the Cri-Du-Chat Society and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
