She was predeceased by: her father Robert L. Hurt; her husband Calvin Lee Schierbaum, Sr.; her son Calvin Lee Schierbaum, Jr.; her sister Gay Hurt Morgan; and her brother-in-law Albert D. Morgan.
She is survived by: her daughters, Patricia Schierbaum and Sue Schierbaum Skelton; and her grandson Christian Lee Skelton. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family request in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Mafair United Methodist Church or Meals on Wheels in Joye's memory.
