It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Judith J. Smith of Kingsport, Tennessee, who passed away on May 8, 2026, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Haskel Johnson and Margaret Johnson; her siblings, Joe Johnson and Nancy Franklin; her grandson Gabe Laughlin; and her son-in-law Terry Laughlin.
She is survived by: her husband Ronald Smith; her children, Sandy Laughlin and Jamie Smith (Trinity); her grandchildren, Braden Smith, Greg Laughlin, Audrey Smith and Jamison Smith; and her siblings, Janice Long (David) and Bill Johnson (Katy). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Kingsport Life Saving Crew.
