He was predeceased by: his parents, Will Burke and Mary Burke; his son James Houston Burke; and his siblings, Joe, Dwight, Ray, David, Gaines and Jean.
He is survived by: his wife Patty Burke; his daughter Beverly Waddell (Rob); his sisters, Louise Hartsock and Kiline Nixon; and his grandchildren, Tyler Finocchio (Sean), Jackson Slater (Kassie) and Katherine Weiss (Alex). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
