He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert F. Chappell and Gladys Chappell; and his sisters, Susan and Caroline. He is survived by: his wife Ruby Chappell; his sons, Mike Chappell (Tracy) and Tim Chappell (Callie); and his grandchildren, Tyler, Ryan, Charlotte, Ella and Madeline Chappell.
