She is survived by: her son James Powers, Jr.; and her siblings, Earl Hood (Lois) of Gate City, VA, I. J. Hood of Duffield, VA, Jewell Amos (Carl) of Kingsport, TN, Doris Gilliam (Larry) of Kingsport, TN and Tammy Davidson (Dewayne) of Durham, NC. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
