Marcus E. Pannell Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of Marcus E. Pannell of Kingsport, Tennessee is shared. Marcus, born on November 5, 1935, passed away on October 16, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Pannell and Minnie Pannell; his daughter Joni Pannell; and his sisters, Charlotte Richards and Linda Pannell.
He is survived by: his sons, Mark Pannell (Amy) and Blain Pannell; his grandchildren, Delta Pannell, Justin Pannell (Kandice), Michaela Pannell, Kaitlyn Burdette, Christien Houston, Talin Jensen (David) and Alira Roberts (Duke); and his sisters, Rosie Harless and Joyce Castle. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Pentecost Independent Freewill Baptist Church (868 Rock Springs Dr, Kingsport, TN 37664). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 10:15 AM and at 11:00 AM at the Oak Hill Memorial Park (800 Truxton Dr, Kingsport, TN 37660).
