She was predeceased by: her husband David Cox; and her parents, John Taylor and Jo Taylor. She is survived by: her son Nathan Cox (Sherry); her grandchildren, Kiran Strickland, Mia Shea Cox and Layla Cheyenne Cox; her great grandchild Hope Strickland; her sister Susan Holtzclaw; and her sister-in-law Judy Ferguson. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes - Kingsport (117 E Charlemont Ave, Kingsport, TN 37660). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 16th 2025 at the Oak Hill Memorial Park (800 Truxton Dr, Kingsport, TN 37660).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sullivan Baptist Church, 4152 Maplewood St., Kingsport, TN 37660.
