She was predeceased by: her husband William Loyd Matthews; her parents, William McMurray, and Odie Godsey McMurray, Sr.; and her brothers, Douglas McMurray, William McMurray, Jr. and Russell McMurray.
She is survived by: her children, Rhonda Ramey (James), Ricky Matthews (Susan), Ronnie Matthews (Daphne) and Billy Matthews (Mark); her grandchildren, Brandi, Becky, Joey, Amanda, Jimmy, Faith, Isaiah, Matthew, Emma and Abigail; her great grandchildren, Josh, Kenzie, Angel and Raylan; her siblings, Betty McNutt (Phillip), Peggy Roberson and Donnie McMurray; and her sister-in-law Opal McMurray. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services (800 Truxton Dr, Kingsport, TN 37660). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Oak Hill Memorial Park (800 Truxton Dr, Kingsport, TN 37660).
