She was predeceased by: her father Hermie Lee; her husband Carl Barger; her siblings, Mary Dougherty and Robert "Bob" Howard; her parents-in-law, Richard Barger and Ruth Barger Harr; and her siblings-in-law, Eula Barger Pendleton, Rita Stone, Nelson Barger, Ed Barger and Charles Stone.
She is survived by: her siblings-in-law, Callie Howard, Valery Barger, Phyllis Horton, Jack Dougherty and Olin Pendleton; and her nieces and nephews, Lynda Ferri (Marco), Lisa Short (Van), Karen Lovelace (David), Sherri Athanasia (Dean), Rebecca Banton (Ron), Robert Howard (Kelly), Ron Horton (Dee), Richard Horton, Donald Howard, Daniel Dougherty and Bob Taylor (Peggy).
In lieu of flowers, the Barger family has requested that donations be made in Nancy's memory to Cassidy United Methodist Church. 5801 Memorial Blvd, Kingsport, TN 37664.
