Nell C. Newman Obituary

We announce the death of Nell C. Newman (Kingsport, Tennessee), born in Burlington, North Carolina, who passed away on July 29, 2026, at the age of 91. Nell will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her father Dewey; her husband David Thomas "Tommie" Newman; her son-in-law Anthony "Tony" McDavid; and her sister Charlotte McGuire. She is survived by: her daughters, Suzie Grabowski (Greg), Sherry Oatts (Lewis) and Cammie McDavid; and her grandchildren, Nicholas Oatts (Jessica), Clint McDavid (April), Spencer Oatts (Jessica), Wesley Ramey (Caitlin), Rebecca Heath (James) and Colton McDavid (Danielle). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Nell's memory to a local animal shelter of your choice; however, for those so inclined to send flowers, please place your order with a local florist.
