With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Phyllis A. Cox Harris of Kingsport, Tennessee, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Haskel Cox and Reva Chase Cox; her husband William L. "Bill" Harris; and her siblings, Kenneth Cox, Bobby Cox, Morris Cox, Lois Jean Haney (CB) and Cletis Cox (Shelby).
She is survived by: her brother Jimmie Lee Cox (Diane); her son Kenneth Harris (Karen); her grandchildren, Justin S. Harris (Lindsey) and Brittany N. Goddard; her great grandchildren, Brayden, Kensley Goddard, Addalyn and Jase Harris; her close friend Scott Simpson; her sister-in-law Wanda Cox; and her sister Wanda Banks. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Harmony Baptist Church (1162 Harmony Rd, Jonesborough, TN 37659). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, May 7th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
