He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Stapleton and Mary Depew; his stepfather Paul Depew; his brothers, J. W. Depew and Don Depew; and his stepdaughter Leann Flanary.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy Stapleton; his children, Marty Stapleton (Jennifer), Jarad Stapleton (Lori) and Kristie Salyer (Vince); his stepchildren, Ben Flanary and Susan Hughes; his grandchildren, Breanna, Dylan, Haleigh, Dustin, Caleb, Ryder, Reece, Mahayla, Matthew, Ben, Harley and Shianne; his great grandchildren, Ethan, Aiden and Emerson LouAnn; and his pet Gracie.
