It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ralph Tipton of Kingsport, Tennessee, who passed away on June 27, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Ralph may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Tipton and Gladys Tipton (Ketron); and his siblings, James Tipton, Wanda Tankersley, Betty Hicks and Mabeline Honaker.
He is survived by: his sons, Stephen Tipton (Melissa Brooks) and Thomas Tipton (Deborah); and his grandchildren, Stephanie Wilkinson (David), Jennifer Welshimer (John), Hailey Tipton and Erick Pendleton (Ashley). He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hamlett Dobson Funeral Home (117 E Charlemont Ave, Kingsport, TN 37660). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Oak Hill Memorial Park (800 Truxton Dr, Kingsport, TN 37660).
