She was predeceased by: her husband Jimmy K. Hughes; her parents, Arnold Brown and Marcella Brown; her brother James R. Brown; and her nephew Corey Brown.

She is survived by: her daughter Melanie Early; her son-in-law Steve; her stepson Tony Hughes (Rhonda); her sisters-in-law, Shelby Carver and Dreama Gasaway; and her niece Amy Ross. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, and many dear friends and neighbors.
