He was predeceased by: his parents, Turley C. Shelton and Genevieve Shelton (Tomlinson); and his brother T. Charles Shelton Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Carol MacGregor Shelton; and his son Mark R. Shelton of Kingsport.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Colonial Heights United Methodist Church (631 Lebanon Rd, Kingsport, TN 37663). A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the East Lawn Memorial Park.
