Sam Burleigh Pearson Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on January 16, 2023, at the age of 84, Sam Burleigh Pearson of Kingsport, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Pearson and Eva Greene Pearson; his wife Margrette Helen Harkleroad Pearson; his sisters, Mildred Pearson and Shirley Christian; and his cousin Wayne Seal.
He is survived by: his children, Kelly Pearson Powers, Mary Beth Ward (Jeff) and Sam Burleigh Pearson II (Julie); his grandchildren, Andrew Pearson Powers (Turner), Margrette Elizabeth Trent (Blake), Christopher Ward, Mia Rose Loomis (Josh) and Nicholas Pearson; his sister Blanche Patterson; and his close friend Nancy Waters. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church, 2600 E. Center Street, Kingsport, TN 37664.
