He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Debra Elaine Arthur; his fathers-in-law, James Y. and Leo Hemphill; his siblings-in-law, Ann Laura Brooker, Jeanne Evelyn Herron (R. L. Herron), James B. Hemphill, Thomas E. Hemphill (Nancy) and Morrison Hemphill; his children, Stephen G. Arthur, Jr. (Steve) of Kingsport, Thomas J. Arthur (Natali) of Kingsport, Nancy A. Longbottom (Jeff) of Pittsburg and James W. Arthur (Kathy) of Kingsport; his granddaughters, Elizabeth Arthur of Kingsport, Rachel Arthur (Michael Schuett) of Nashville and Nichole Longbottom-Settle (Collin) of Fort Worth; his great grandchildren, Ella and Brexlei of Johnson City; and his siblings-in-law, Jack Brooker of Dalton, GA and Pat Hemphill of Auburn, AL. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
