He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Thompson and Mary Cochran Thompson; his son Jason Fletcher; and his grandson Nicholas Key. He is survived by: his wife Connie Fletcher Thompson; his children, Shelly Covey (Chris Martin), Tom Thompson (Andrea) and Kelly Harper (Phil); his grandchildren, Michael, Brandon, Skylar and Aurelia (Papaws); and his siblings, Carl Bright (Terri), James Bright (Jan), Darlene Leonard (Stan) and Patty Senior (Wade). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
