He was predeceased by: his father John Baylus Smith, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Joni Smith (Jones); his sons, Joshua Franklin (Kelsie Jo Smith), Brian Zachary "Zack" Smith (Lauren Yount) and Luke Baylus (Fiona Smith); his siblings, Jacqueline "Jackie" Anita Smith Allen and John Bradford "Brad" (Bonnie Smith); his mother Judy Eidam Cooper Smith; his grandchildren, Calliope Jo and Jack Kingsley; and his pet Tank.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Kyker Funeral Home of Kingston (350 W Race St, Kingston, TN 37763). A memorial service was held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Kyker Funeral Homes Our Kingston Chapel (350 W Race St, Kingston, TN 37763).
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Roane County Animal Shelter (296 Manufacturers Rd, Rockwood, TN 37854) or shelter of your choice or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105).
