He was predeceased by : his parents, J. L. Woody and Helen Juanita Woody; and his siblings, Doris Tichenor, Elaine Woody, Carol Petty, Janet Carmack and Mike Woody.

He is survived by : his wife Karin "Oma" Woody of Kingston; his sons, Jens Woody (Angie) of Kingston, Bryan Woody (Penny) of Kingston and Brent Woody (Brooke) of Kingston; and his sisters, Diane Woody of Chattanooga and Debbie Woody Dagnin (Charles) of South Africa. He is also survived by 7 Grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to New Midway Baptist Church.
