He is survived by: his wife Sonja Chase; his sons, Michael Chase (Anna) and Bryan Chase (Melissa); his grandchildren, Irie Chase, Alex Chase (Jacob) and Tyler Chase (Jorjenna); and his siblings, William Chase and Judith McDonald.
