He was predeceased by: his parents, Imogene Owens and Leon Owens; his nephew Austin Owens; and his cousin Ronnie Fearnow. He is survived by: his brother James Owens (Staci) of Kingston; his nephew Stuart Owens (Kandace) of Powell; his close friend Vikki Yoder of Marietta Georgia; his granddaughter Emma of Simpsonville; his cousin Judy Breeden; Paige Belsom (Keith) and Geno of Knoxville. He is also survived by extended family members and close friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Fraker Funeral Home (1445 Kingston Hwy, Kingston, TN 37763). A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at the Kingston Memorial Gardens (184 Oak Dr, Kingston, TN 37763).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Richard's honor to The American Cancer Society or the Master Gardner's Club of Roane County.
