He was predeceased by: his parents, George Waldo and Lucile Frances Simpson (Godby); his wife Priscilla Rose Preston (Reed); and his sister Sally Ann Baldovin. He is survived by: his former wife Sally Ann Price; his children, Traci Van Prooyen (Matt) of Bloomington and Todd Simpson (Tanya) of Kingston, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Wyatt Simpson (Savannah), Piper Simpson, Ryder Simpson, Sontee Simpson, Nieema Simpson, Kami Simpson, Caleb Van Prooyen and Anne Van Prooyen; his great grandchild Indigo Simpson; and his brother Rick Simpson (Sherry) of Pekin.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory (500 N 4th St, Pekin, IL 61554). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Prairie Rest Cemetery.
