With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wilma Jean (Daugherty) Smith of Kingston, Tennessee, born in Oliver Springs, Tennessee, who passed away on May 15, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Paul Avery Smith; her son Paul Gregory Smith; and her pet Lucy. She is survived by: her daughter Deanna Smith of Decatur, GA; her siblings, Elizabeth Rayder of Oliver Springs, TN, Wanda Hutton of Harriman, TN and Jerry Daugherty; her siblings-in-law, Billy Smith, Jerry Kelly, Jackie Morton and Trudy Smith of Kingston, TN; and her children, Nicole Bragg (Brian) and Matt Schenz (Lisa). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in honor of her husband, or to a local animal shelter in honor of her rescue dog, Lucy.
