We are sad to announce that on September 19, 2025, at the age of 92, Ancell Dwight Lynch in Knoxville, Tennessee, born in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Lynch and Annie Lynch; his brother Gerald S. Lynch of Roanoke Rapids, NC.; his in-laws, J. Willard and Maud Johnson; and his brothers-in-law, Judson of Saucier, MS. and Glendon Johnson of Saucier, MS..
He is survived by: his wife Ona Frances; and his children, Dwight (Anna), David (Denise), Gary, Karen Strong (Robert) and Rebecca Smith (Neal). He is also survived by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the First Baptist Concord Church (11704 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37934). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a charitable donation be made to the Mission of Hope (https://missionofhope.org).
