He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert Davis Sams and Tressie Mae Cashion Sams. He is survived by: his wife Rusha; his sons, Scott Elliott Sams and Jeffrey Edgar Sams; his daughters-in-law, Jennifer Gramling and Andrea Miller Sams; and his granddaughter Whitley Grace Sams.
