He is survived by: his wife Doris Jean Alvis; his children, Deborah Lynn Kerns (Ross Kerns) and Richard Brent Alvis (Susan Alvis); his grandchildren, Ashley Hager (Jeff), Amanda Adams (Brady), Austin Kerns (Mary Claire), Matthew Alvis and Amber Alvis; and his great grandchildren, Kaiden Lee Alvis, Elizabeth "Eli" Ross Adams, Campbell Alice Kerns and Emery Reese Adams.
