She was predeceased by: her son James Charles Haufe; her granddaughter Mandella Marie Haufe; her son-in-law Robert Thomas Read III (Chip); her parents, Marie Strauss (Slatterick) and Charles James Strauss; her siblings, Jo-Ruth Strauss, Zita Marie Cupp and Andrew Leo Strauss; and the father of her children Edward Louis Haufe Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Edward Louis Haufe III (Connie) of Forksville, PA, Roseann Read of St. Augustine, FL, Linda Marie Nutter (Timothy) of Woodstock, GA and Margaret Ellen Haufe of Knoxville, TN; her brother Charles Alexander Strauss of Faber, Virginia; her grandchildren, Beth Ellen Bittner (Don) of Bryson City, NC, Kirsten Elizabeth Kozinski (Matt) of Manchester, CT, Danielle Kayla Bresser of Denver, CO, Lynae Cecile Bresser and Devin Alexander Bresser (Pelin) of Madison, WI; and her great grandchild Nathan Dishneau of Spokane, WA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Rose Funeral. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church (1041 N Central St, Knoxville, TN 37917).
