Dalton Lynn Townsend Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 27, 2025, at the age of 82, Dalton Lynn Townsend of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Sue (Wesson) and Mahlon "Lynn" Townsend; his wife Carolyn; and his sister Linda Moulton. He is survived by: his daughters, Elizabeth Townsend Smith (Jeremy) of Raleigh, NC and Julie Townsend Gontarek (Paul) of Brentwood, TN; his grandchildren, Zachary, Matthew, Colin Smith, Carrie and Andrew Gontarek; his brother Robert Townsend (Laura); and his sister-in-law Barbara Alexander (J. T.). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pavilion of Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery (5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37917).
