He was predeceased by: his parents, Gus Johnson Jr. and Wanda Bounds Johnson; and his siblings, Darice Johnson Claiborne and Dennis Johnson. He is survived by: his sisters, Dianna Johnson of Knoxville, Donna Johnson of Knoxville and Danette Snyder; his brother-in-law Rick Snyder of Strawberry Plains; his nieces and nephews, Christy Johnson, Jessica Johnson, Tracy Claiborne Jr. (Tammy), Toby Claiborne (Kelley) and Todd Claiborne; his aunt Evelyn Bounds; and his cousins, Teresa Snyder (Randy), Mark Bounds (Regina) and Julie Evans. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 2723 Cecil Ave, Knoxville, TN 37917.
