He was predeceased by: his parents, Wiley Cope and Ziffie Cope; his siblings, Estel Cope (Booty), Bill Cope and Daisy Phillips; his father-in-law Henry Smith; and his brother-in-law Joe Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Melody Cope; his stepchildren, Stephanie Trent (Keith), Jessica Chandler (Deddrick) and Christopher Chandler (Alyssa); his grandchildren, Dakota Trent (Celine), McKenzie Trent (Jhayda), Ellie Trent (Dawson), Treyston Bass, Teegan Bass, Holland Chandler and Finley Chandler; his great grandchildren, Remington Trent and Poppi Jean Trent; his sisters, Diane Miller (Randy), Patricia Burchell (Ray), Helen McCarroll and Deanna Miller; his sister-in-law Linda Cope; and his mother-in-law Joyce Smith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
