With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David George Gerkin (Knoxville, Tennessee), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 24, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Gerkin and Mary Gerkin; and his son Thomas David. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Gerkin; his daughters, Deborah Gerkin, Rebecca Doody and Melanie Best Burgess; his great grandchildren, Christina, Samantha (Alex), Sarah (Bret), Emily (Stephen), Olivia, Alex, Lindsey, Hayden, Alexander, Maxwell, Bennett and Barrett; his sister Diane; and his nephew Bradley (Marti).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Interfaith Health Center or to Lake Hills Presbyterian Church.
