He is survived by: his wife Juanita Walters Longworth; his daughter Jennifer Purvis; his grandchildren, Macy Katherine Purvis and Matthew David Purvis Jr.; his siblings, Naomi Luna (Gail), Terry Longworth (Teresa) and Mary Katherine Longworth; his niece Beth Luna; and his nephew Drew Longworth. He is also survived by cousins, and many friends.
