We bid farewell to David Anthony McBride of Knoxville, Tennessee, born in Kingsport, Tennessee, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 8, 2025 at the age of 69. David touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though David may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those David touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Houston McBride, Sr. and Dorothy Nyleen Bell McBride; and his siblings, Nyleen Perdue, John Houston McBride, Jr. and James Marvin "Butch" McBride. He is also survived by his many friends and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Mount Olive Baptist Church (2500 Maryville Pike, Knoxville, TN 37920). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mount Olive Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mount Olive Baptist Church in care of the Special Friends Ministry, 2500 Maryville Pike, Knoxville, TN 37920.
