Denise leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Denise’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Denise will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She is survived by: her husband Eric Marcus Key; her children, Madison Denise Key and Tyler Eric Key; her parents, Susan Newman and Clifton Lloyd Day Jr.; her stepfather William Thibault; her stepbrother Paul Newman II; and her in-laws, Ronald Kenneth Key and Janie Sue Key. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Cokesbury United Methodist Church (9919 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37922).
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorial donations to Manna House at Cokesbury United Methodist Church, a ministry that was especially meaningful to Denise.
