She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Jones and Bertha Ann Capps Jones; her husband Wayne Thompson; her son Steve Thompson; her grandson Nicholas Shorter; her great grandchild Joshua John Waldrop; and her son-in-law John Waldrop (Ed Bradley).
She is survived by: her daughter Kathy Waldrop. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
