He is survived by: his wife Betty Idol Godwin; his daughters, Donna Wright and Robyn Raley; his sister Mary Mims; and his stepsons, Johnny and David Idol. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Piney Grove Baptist Church (2109 Piney Grove Church Rd, Knoxville, TN 37909). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, November 18th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Piney Grove Church Cemetery (2109 Piney Grove Church Rd, Knoxville, TN 37909).
