He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence C. Wolfenbarger and Irene W. Vineyard; his stepfather Albert Vineyard; and his son Eddy Wolfenbarger (Rhonda). He is survived by: his wife Ruby Wolfenbarger; and his sons, Wes Wolfenbarger (Regina) and Doyle Wolfenbarger Jr. "DJ" (Melinda "Bunny"). He is also survived by his grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and many adopted grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fountain City Chapel (2829 Rennoc Rd, Knoxville, TN 37918). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Dyer Cemetery (169 Misty View Ln, Powder Springs, TN 37848).
