She was predeceased by: her husband Don Hackworth Sr.; her parents, Alfred Lowell Thomas Sr. and Carrie Virginia Thomas; and her siblings, Lowell Thomas Jr., Ronnie Thomas, Jimmy Thomas, Sherry Goin and Alfredia Haynes.
She is survived by: her son Don Jr.; her daughter-in-law Linda Hackworth; her grandson Matt Hackworth; and her siblings, Johnny Thomas, Danny Thomas and Terrie Ann Webb.
Memorial donations may be made in Ruth's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, American Cancer Society, or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund.
