She was predeceased by: her son James; her parents, Gracie Whitfield and Cullen Whitfield; and her siblings, Edna May, Cullen Jr., Willie, Minnie Lou, Melvin, Martin, Robert, Ora, Eva May, Sidney and Vera.
She is survived by: her husband Roy; her daughter Balla-Rena (Ron); her grandchildren, Casi (Curt), Marci (Srinath), Michelle (Michael), Emily, Jimmy (Claudia) and Joseph (Jamaya); her great grandchildren, Elizabeth (Chandler), Nathan, Jonathan, Kaeshev, Samantha, Rebeka, Hanorah, David, Kevin, Brandon, Lillian, Joseph Edward King, Janaya and Joseph Edward Prince; and her aunt Annette. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
