He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Montgomery and Gladys Montgomery (Surber); his son Gary Montgomery; and his siblings, Wilma Montgomery, Beulah Griffin, Faye Taylor, Vicky Thorndyke, Max and Merrell Montgomery.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Ann Hensley Montgomery; his daughter Lisa Ramsey (Teddy); his grandchildren, Tracy Ramsey, Lauren Montgomery and Gary Allen Montgomery; and his siblings, Clyde Montgomery (Wilma), Bill Montgomery (Judy), Judy Hammond, Carol Montgomery, Barbara Corbin (Bill) and Kathleen Cavin (Jim). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, special neighbors and friends.
In lieu of flowers, his wife Shirley asks that memorial donations be sent to help with upkeep costs at Manning Cemetery, c/o Kathleen Cavin, 15322 Alanthus Hill Road, Tazewell, TN 37879.
