Though Freddie may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Freddie touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred C. Lay and Olive Baker Lay; his siblings, Scott Lay and Susan'Bunny'Burchfield; and his nephew Brandon G. Burchfield.

He is survived by: his children, Tara Lay Miller (Bill), Chris Lay (Samantha) and Michael Lay (Kayla); his siblings, David Lay, Jana Lay Poe and Steve Lay; and his close friend Lynn Rimmer. He is also survived by grandchildren that he was very proud of; many nieces and nephews.
