With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Gail Davis Cox of Knoxville, Tennessee, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. In the vast expanse of eternity, Gail shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Gail farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude B Davis and Elsie Davis; her former husband William H. Cox Jr.; her son Gregory W Cox; and her granddaughter Julia Gardner.
She is survived by: her husband Guy Papenhausen; her son William H Cox III; her grandson William Gregory Cox; and her son Joel Cox (Louise).
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Lynnhurst Cemetery (2300 Adair Dr, Knoxville, TN 37918).
