It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Boder in Knoxville, Tennessee, who passed away on February 16, 2026, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Paul and Mary Boder (Machella); his son Emil; and his siblings, Emil, John, Joseph, Stephen, Thomas, Helen Hvisdas, Agnes Boder, Mary Saseen and Anne Boder.

He is survived by: his wife Carla Boder (Speth); his children, Stephanie Caiza Valera of Grand Junction, CO and Eric Boder of Knoxville, TN.; his children-in-law, Juan Caiza Valera and Marti Boder (Ware); his grandchildren, Josie, Ethan, Rose Boder and Emil Caiza Valera; and his sister Dolores Brosk of Conyngham, PA..

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in George's name to Catholic Relief Services.
