He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hommel and Evelyn Hommel; his sister Thelma Spivey; and his former wife Rita Arnold Hommel. He is survived by: his wife Frankie Hommel; his daughters, Janet Hommel and Leslie Smenner (Rick); his stepchildren, Barry (Leslie), Sherri (Scott) and Christi (Alan); his grandchildren, David, Amanda (Jim), Lindsey (Chris), Kati (Ben) and Calli (Spencer); and his stepgrandchildren, Brandon (Lindsey), Austin (Valerie), Britney (Seth), Hunter, Spencer, Aaron and Ryan (Abby). He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren and 2 step-great grandchildren.
