He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Pickel and Willa "Billie" McCarter Pickel; his wife Wanda Boling Pickel; and his brother Donald Pickel. He is survived by: his sister Barbara Deal; his daughters, Dawn Pickel Fewell (Scott) and Michelle Pickel Singleton (Randy); his grandchildren, Ian Pickel (Keylee Dillion), Andy Singleton (Natalie), Elizabeth Anne Hammons (Zach Taylor) and Abbey Stokes (Blake); and his great grandchildren, T. J. Hammons, Blakelyn Singleton, Hadley, Beckham and Remi Stokes.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Fellowship Hall at Black Oak Heights Baptist Church (405 Black Oak Dr, Knoxville, TN 37912).
