He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Compton and Mable Compton; his son Tommy Lynn Compton; and his brother David Compton. He is survived by: his wife Janice Compton; his daughter Melinda Robinson; his sister Bonnie James; his granddaughter Ashlynn River Robinson; and his brother-in-law Eddie Russell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fountain City Chapel (2829 Rennoc Rd, Knoxville, TN 37918). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025.
