He is survived by: his wife Phyllis N. Atkins; his children, Kathryn Atkins-Roberson and Douglas Atkins; and his grandsons, Will Roberson, Ben Roberson, Seth Atkins, Josh Atkins and Isaac Atkins. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.
