He was predeceased by: his wife Jean Britt Massengill; and his siblings, Evelyn Elmore, Bobby Massengill, Jewel Ayscue, Phyllis DeLuca, Buddy Massengill and Gerry Harris.

He is survived by: his sons, Bob Massengill (Tiffany) and Jim Massengill (Kristin); and his granddaughters, Ashley, Emma and Siena. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
